To add a program icon (a shortcut to a program) onto the desktop: Go to the Start All ProgramsStart > menu and find the program you wish to add to your desktop. Right-click on the name of the program and select Send To: Desktop (create shortcut). The icon for the program that you have chosen will appear on your desktop. Send To: > To remove any icon from your desktop:
